Perfect for busy weeknights or as a star at gatherings, this salad offers a fresh twist on a classic favorite that will leave your taste buds singing!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (lean)
  • 4 cups romaine lettuce (chopped)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles (chopped)
  • 1 cup tomatoes (diced)
  • 1/4 cup red onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Big Mac sauce (or special sauce; homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup crushed burger buns (for croutons)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat and set aside to cool.
  2. While the beef cools, chop romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large serving bowl.
  3. Dice tomatoes and finely chop red onions, then add them to the bowl with the lettuce.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and chopped dill pickles over the salad.
  5. Drizzle Big Mac sauce generously over the ingredients and toss gently to combine without wilting the greens.
  6. If desired, crush toasted hamburger buns into crouton-sized bits and sprinkle on top for added crunch.
