- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- Fresh parsley (optional), for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Make a well in the center and pour in buttermilk. Gently mix until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with melted garlic butter as soon as they come out of the oven.
