- 4 large bread bowls
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz crab meat (fresh or canned)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups seafood stock
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1/2 cup diced carrots
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Bread Bowls: Slice off the tops of the bread bowls and hollow out the insides. Set aside.
- Cook the Vegetables: In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, celery, and carrots. Sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Make the Base: Stir in flour and garlic powder to form a roux. Gradually whisk in seafood stock and heavy cream. Cook until thickened.
- Add Seafood: Stir in shrimp and crab meat. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve: Ladle the creamy seafood mixture into the bread bowls. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

- Feel free to swap out shrimp and crab for your favorite seafood, like scallops or lobster.
