Ingredients

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pastry:
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out puff pastry and cut into squares or rectangles. Brush with beaten egg wash and sprinkle granulated sugar on top.
  2. Bake Pastry:
    • Place pastry squares on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Let cool completely.
  3. Make the Cheesecake Filling:
    • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Assemble:
    • Spread the cheesecake filling onto each pastry square. Top with fresh strawberry slices.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve immediately or chill for 30 minutes before serving for a refreshing dessert.
