Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup toasted pecans, chopped

 


Instructions

  1. Prep Pan: Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper and lightly grease.
  2. Cook Mixture: In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, cream, corn syrup, and salt. Stir over medium heat until butter melts and mixture starts to boil.
  3. Heat to Soft Ball Stage: Continue stirring and cook until the mixture reaches 238°F (soft ball stage) on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat.
  4. Add Flavor & Nuts: Stir in vanilla and pecans. Beat the mixture for 2–3 minutes until it starts to thicken.
  5. Set Fudge: Pour into the prepared pan, spread evenly, and let cool for 2–3 hours before slicing.

 

Notes

  • Use high-quality butter for the richest flavor.
  • Toast pecans beforehand for enhanced nuttiness.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
