- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup toasted pecans, chopped
Instructions
- Prep Pan: Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper and lightly grease.
- Cook Mixture: In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, cream, corn syrup, and salt. Stir over medium heat until butter melts and mixture starts to boil.
- Heat to Soft Ball Stage: Continue stirring and cook until the mixture reaches 238°F (soft ball stage) on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat.
- Add Flavor & Nuts: Stir in vanilla and pecans. Beat the mixture for 2–3 minutes until it starts to thicken.
- Set Fudge: Pour into the prepared pan, spread evenly, and let cool for 2–3 hours before slicing.
