- 2 chicken breasts, sliced into strips
- 2 cups pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup Marsala wine
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cook Chicken: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then sauté until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté Mushrooms: In the same skillet, add garlic and mushrooms. Sauté until softened.
- Prepare Sauce: Deglaze the pan with Marsala wine, then add chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, cooking until the sauce thickens.
- Combine: Add chicken and pasta back into the skillet. Toss until fully coated in the sauce.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
Notes
- Substitute Marsala wine with chicken broth if preferred.
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes.
