- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Prepare the Toffee Base: In a saucepan, melt butter, sugar, water, and salt over medium heat. Stir continuously until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
- Flavor and Pour: Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Pour the hot toffee onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and spread evenly.
- Top with Chocolate: Sprinkle white chocolate chips on the hot toffee and let them melt. Spread the melted chocolate evenly.
- Add Churro Topping: In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and powdered sugar. Sprinkle over the melted chocolate. Let the toffee cool completely, then break it into pieces.
