  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
    • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  2. Combine Dry Ingredients:
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  3. Add the Extras:
    • Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal and chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  4. Shape and Bake:
    • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
    • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown. Let cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For softer cookies, slightly underbake them and let them finish cooking on the baking sheet.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
