Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh sea scallops
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 medium lemons (juiced and zested)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by rinsing the scallops under cold water and patting them dry.
  2. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, sear the scallops for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Lower heat, add minced garlic and remaining butter, stirring gently for about 30 seconds.
  4. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the scallops while cooking and sprinkle with lemon zest.
  5. Just before serving, toss with chopped parsley and plate with any remaining sauce drizzled on top.
