Indulge in the heavenly delight of Milk Brioche, a soft and buttery bread that melts in your mouth. With a rich flavor and a golden crust, this versatile treat is perfect for brunch, afternoon tea, or simply enjoying with your favorite beverage. It’s easy to make, making it a hit among both beginners and seasoned bakers alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour (500g)
  • 1 cup whole milk (240ml)
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (7g)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (50g)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (113g)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Activate the Yeast: In a bowl, whisk warm milk and sugar until dissolved. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, mix flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture along with beaten eggs. Stir until shaggy dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the Dough: Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Incorporate Butter & Rise: Gradually knead in softened butter until fully mixed. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled (1-2 hours).
  5. 5. Shape & Second Rise: Punch down dough, divide into portions, shape as desired, place in a greased loaf pan or baking sheet, and let rise again until puffy.
  6. 6. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
