  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup bell peppers (mixed colors), diced
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onions and bell peppers until soft (about 5 minutes).
  3. Add ground beef and garlic; cook until browned (7-8 minutes).
  4. Stir in cream cheese and Italian seasoning until well combined.
  5. In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the beef mixture followed by half of the shredded cheese.
  6. Repeat with remaining beef mixture and cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
