Ingredients

  • 2 (6 oz) salmon fillets
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tbsp butter. Sear the salmon skin-side down for 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add remaining butter. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  4. Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth; simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened. If desired, add white wine.
  5. Mix in lemon juice and parsley, then return the salmon to the skillet to coat with sauce.
