  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 scallions, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Slice beef and chop vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Mince garlic and ginger.
  2. Make the sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, honey or brown sugar, cornstarch, minced garlic, ginger, and optional red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  3. Heat the wok: Preheat the wok over high heat until smoking hot. Add sesame oil.
  4. Cook the beef: Quickly sear beef strips for about 3-4 minutes until browned but tender.
  5. Add vegetables: Stir in bell peppers and broccoli; cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender.
  6. Combine: Pour sauce over the beef and vegetables; stir continuously for 1-2 minutes until thickened and glossy.
  7. Serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles.
