Description

Shamrock Cookies are a festive delight bursting with buttery flavor and vibrant green color, perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or any cheerful occasion.


Ingredients

  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Baking Powder
  • Salt
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Green Food Coloring
  • Powdered Sugar (for frosting)
  • Milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
  5. Add green food coloring until you achieve your desired shade of green.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft. Cool on wire racks before decorating.
