  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 46 black tea bags (Lipton or Luzianne)
  • 1 to cups granulated sugar
  • 12 lemon slices
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil 4 cups of filtered water in a large pot until it reaches a rolling boil.
  2. Remove from heat and steep 4-6 black tea bags for 5-7 minutes, depending on your strength preference.
  3. Remove tea bags and stir in 1 to 1½ cups of granulated sugar until fully dissolved.
  4. Add lemon slices and let the mixture cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.
  5. Serve chilled over ice with additional lemon slices or mint leaves as garnish.
