Description

Strawberry Bliss Honeybun Cake Delight! This moist and sweet treat combines honeybun-inspired layers with a luscious strawberry glaze.

 


Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup strawberry preserves
  • Powdered sugar glaze (optional)

 


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Batter: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, sour cream, and oil until smooth.
  2. Layer the Cake: Pour half of the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the batter, then dollop with strawberry preserves. Top with the remaining batter.
  3. Bake: Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  4. Add the Glaze (Optional): Drizzle with a powdered sugar glaze for an extra sweet finish.

 

Notes

  • For a twist, substitute strawberry preserves with raspberry or apricot.
  • Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
