- 1 cup chopped green cabbage
- 4 green onions, finely chopped
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ½ cup milk or cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Peel and chop the potatoes into even pieces. Place them in a pot of cold water and boil until fork-tender.
- While the potatoes cook, sauté the chopped cabbage in butter until tender and slightly caramelized.
- Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Add warmed milk (or cream) and melted butter; mash until smooth.
- Gently fold in the sautéed cabbage and green onions until well combined.
