Description

Homemade Banana Cinnamon Rolls are the perfect blend of warm, gooey banana goodness and sweet cinnamon wrapped in soft dough, topped with a creamy glaze. A delightful treat for any breakfast or brunch!

Ingredients

  • Ripe bananas
  • All-purpose flour
  • Granulated sugar
  • Dried yeast
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Butter
  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, mash ripe bananas, then mix in sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs until well combined.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Place the kneaded dough into an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. For the filling, mix softened butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a bowl.
  6. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly over the surface.
  7. Roll tightly from one end to another, slice into 1-2 inch pieces, and place in greased baking dishes.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. While cooling slightly, whisk powdered sugar with milk to create a glaze; drizzle over warm rolls.
