  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients by measuring out the bourbon, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and pineapple juice into separate bowls.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together bourbon, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and pineapple juice until smooth.
  3. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and add oil if desired. Sear the ham steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. Pour half of the glaze over the ham steak while cooking; let it caramelize for about 4-5 minutes before flipping to coat with more glaze.
  5. Cook the other side for another 4-5 minutes until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  6. Remove from heat, let rest for 3 minutes, then slice and serve warm with your favorite sides.
