Description

A hearty and comforting stuffed meatloaf filled with creamy cheese and baked to perfection. Juicy, flavorful, and ideal for a cozy family dinner, this classic dish combines seasoned ground beef with a rich, cheesy center and a savory glaze on top.


Ingredients

  • 900 g (2 lb) ground beef

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 cup ketchup

  • 1 tbsp mustard

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

  • In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika.

  • Press half of the meat mixture into a greased loaf pan.

  • Spread shredded cheese evenly in the center.

  • Cover with remaining meat mixture and seal edges.

  • Mix ketchup and mustard and spread over the top.

  • Bake for 60–70 minutes, until fully cooked.

  • Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute cheese with sautéed mushrooms or spinach.

  • Letting the meatloaf rest helps keep slices intact.

  • Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
