  • For the Ganache: 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz high-quality dark or milk chocolate bar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly underbaked.
  7. While cooling, prepare the ganache by heating heavy cream until simmering; pour over chopped chocolate and stir until smooth.
  8. Drizzle ganache over cooled cookies and allow to set before serving.
