Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise Use full-fat mayonnaise for creaminess.
  • 2 tablespoons Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce Finely chopped for even distribution.
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder For added depth of flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Smoked paprika Enhances the smoky flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper Freshly ground for best flavor.

Method

Prepare the Chipotle Mayo
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of mayonnaise with 2 tablespoons of finely chopped chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. This will give the mayo its signature smoky and spicy flavor.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lime juice to the bowl. This adds acidity, balancing the richness of the mayo.
  3. Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper. These spices will enhance the overall flavor profile.
  4. Using a whisk, mix all the ingredients together until well combined and smooth. Ensure there are no lumps from the chipotle peppers.
  5. Taste the mayo and adjust seasoning if necessary. You can add more chipotle for heat or more lime juice for acidity.
  6. Transfer the chipotle mayo to a storage container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together.
