Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 large Cucumber Preferably organic for better flavor
  • 4 cups Water Filtered water is recommended for best taste
  • 10 leaves Fresh Mint Lightly bruised to release oils
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed for optimal flavor

Method

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Wash the cucumber thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or pesticides.
  2. Using a knife, slice the cucumber into thin rounds, about 1/8 inch thick. This increases the surface area for flavor infusion.
  3. Take the fresh mint leaves and gently bruise them by pressing them with the back of a spoon or your fingers. This helps release their essential oils and enhances the flavor.
Combine Ingredients
  1. In a large pitcher, combine the sliced cucumber, bruised mint leaves, and freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  2. Pour the filtered water over the cucumber and mint mixture, ensuring all ingredients are submerged.
Infuse and Serve
  1. Cover the pitcher with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This allows the flavors to meld and intensify.
  2. After the infusion time, stir the mixture gently with a spoon to combine flavors.
  3. Serve the cucumber water over ice in glasses, garnishing with additional cucumber slices or mint leaves if desired.
