- ½ cup brown sugar

- 3 cups apples (peeled, cored, and sliced; mix of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish to form the crust.
- In another bowl, toss apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until coated.
- Spread the apple filling over the crust and crumble the remaining dough on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Cool before cutting into squares.
