For the Steak
- 1 lb steak, thinly sliced (sirloin, ribeye, or strip steak)
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning, divided
- 2 tbsp olive oil

- 1/2 tsp black pepper

For the Pasta
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 tbsp salt (for pasta water)
For the Alfredo Sauce
- 4 tbsp butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
For Garnish
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Extra Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente; reserve some pasta water and drain.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sear seasoned steak for 3-4 minutes per side; set aside to rest.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, bringing it to a gentle simmer; stir in cream cheese until melted.
- Mix in Cajun seasoning and grated Parmesan, stirring until blended.
- Combine fettuccine with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for consistency.
- Slice the rested steak and serve over the pasta; garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
Notes
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the steak for about 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until it reaches your preferred doneness.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice it thinly.
- In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir well.
- Add the remaining Cajun seasoning, black pepper, and salt, then let the sauce simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until well coated.
- Top with the sliced steak or gently mix it into the pasta.
- Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over the top if desired for extra richness.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with extra Parmesan cheese.
