  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then sear in the skillet for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from pan.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant, then add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in sour cream and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth; optionally add herbs or red pepper flakes.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and let it cook in the sauce for another 5-10 minutes until fully cooked through.
  6. Serve garnished with parsley if desired.
