  • 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until no longer pink; drain excess fat.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion and green bell pepper for about five minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Transfer the beef and sautéed vegetables to the crockpot. Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and mustard; stir well.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours until heated through.
