With simple ingredients and straightforward preparation, you can easily impress family and friends with these charming truffles that embody the spirit of the season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup finely crushed graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup unsulfured molasses
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (preferably Ceylon)
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (freshly grated)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz dark or milk chocolate (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by gathering all ingredients and setting up a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl for melting chocolate.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine crushed graham crackers, ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
  3. Add molasses and heavy cream to the dry mixture; stir until combined. If too dry, add a splash more cream.
  4. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for about 1 hour until firm.
  5. Roll chilled mixture into bite-sized balls (about golf ball size).
  6. Melt dipping chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts. Dip each truffle in melted chocolate until fully coated and place on wax paper to set.
