- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1/3 cup sliced almonds
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Blanch the green beans in boiling salted water for 3 minutes. Drain and immediately plunge into ice water.
- In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the sliced almonds for 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the blanched green beans and sauté for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Stir in lemon juice, toasted almonds, salt, and pepper. Toss to combine.
- Serve on a platter garnished with additional lemon zest if desired.
