  • 1 large head green cabbage
  • 1 lb ground beef (lean)
  • ½ cup uncooked long-grain rice
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups tomato sauce (divided)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to boil. Remove the core from the cabbage and place it in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until leaves soften. Peel off about ten leaves.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, rice, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Take one cabbage leaf at a time and place two tablespoons of filling at the base; roll tightly.
  4. Pour half the tomato sauce into the Instant Pot. Layer half the rolls on top and add more sauce.
  5. Seal the lid and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes. Allow natural release for 5 minutes before manually releasing remaining pressure.
  6. Serve rolls drizzled with remaining sauce; garnish with parsley if desired.
