- 1 lb ground beef (lean)
- ½ cup uncooked long-grain rice
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 cups tomato sauce (divided)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to boil. Remove the core from the cabbage and place it in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until leaves soften. Peel off about ten leaves.
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, rice, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Take one cabbage leaf at a time and place two tablespoons of filling at the base; roll tightly.
- Pour half the tomato sauce into the Instant Pot. Layer half the rolls on top and add more sauce.
- Seal the lid and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes. Allow natural release for 5 minutes before manually releasing remaining pressure.
- Serve rolls drizzled with remaining sauce; garnish with parsley if desired.
