  • 2 lbs beef short ribs
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, green onions, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place beef short ribs in a large resealable bag or dish; pour marinade over them and ensure all ribs are coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for maximum flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill to high heat (about 400°F). Remove ribs from the marinade (reserve marinade) and grill for 4-5 minutes per side until caramelized.
  4. While grilling, brush reserved marinade over the ribs. Avoid reusing marinade that has touched raw meat unless cooked first.
  5. Serve grilled ribs on a platter garnished with extra green onions alongside rice or lettuce wraps.
