- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (200 g), shredded

- 2 tbsp butter

- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a large baking dish with butter.
- Slice the Russet potatoes into thin rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
- Layer half of the potato slices in the baking dish, seasoning with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme. Pour half of the heavy cream over this layer.
- Repeat with the remaining potato slices and cream.
- Top generously with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 60 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 20-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
