  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti or linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet, cooking for about 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  4. Pour in white wine and let simmer for 3 minutes before adding lemon juice.
  5. Toss cooked pasta in the skillet with the shrimp and sauce until well coated.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with parsley if desired.
