Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (chopped)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface until about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. On half of the heart cutouts, dollop the cream cheese mixture and top with chopped strawberries. Place another heart on top and seal the edges by pressing gently.
  5. Brush the tops with egg wash for a golden finish.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
